The Asia-Pacific Water Summit, also known as the 4th APWS, was already held on April 23-24, 2022, in Kumamoto City, Japan. Every year, UN-Water - the United Nation's coordination mechanism on water and sanitation - sets the theme for 19 November, the day of the celebration. In 2021, the theme is 'valuing toilets'.

The consulting company will work closely with the national project coordinator, CAR’s NDA, and GWP team at national, regional, and global levels to design, develop and implement a suitable climate finance monitoring and tracking system that is responsive to the needs of the country's users. The current capacity of the NDA for monitoring and evaluation has been identified as low, and the selected firm will thus have an opportunity to significantly influence the future operation of CAR’s monitoring, reporting, and verification of climate finance. Consequently, the selected consulting company is expected to bring significant expertise and experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems in a developing country context.
