The leaders of GWP’s country platforms are fundamental to GWP's mission. The 2020 – 2025 GWP Strategy identifies the strengthening of CWPs as critical to amplifying GWP’s impact. To support this, GWP’s global secretariat is offering a space to learn from each other by:
- Providing participants with an opportunity to learn from peers and jointly come up with ideas on how to build stronger CWPs for increased impact;
- Identifying challenges, and successful strategies and experiences to overcome them;
- Enhancing connections to, and benefiting from, a global community.
Additionally, the session marked the kick-off for GWP’s 25th Anniversary celebrations.
The exchange was 1,5 hours and was held twice to accommodate different time zones:
- 9 AM CET (for those especially from Asia, Europe, Mediterranean, and Africa)
- 3 PM CET (for those especially from the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Mediterranean, and Africa)
The session was organised for CWP and GWP country platform leaders: Chairs, Executive Secretaries and, as relevant, other individual(s) driving the growth of the country platform. Many participants reached out during the event and asked for others' contacts. A shared document is available here for all who would like to exchange contact information.
More information is provided in the concept note. This is also available in French and Spanish - and furthermore some background information in Russian.
