The Strategic Framework for WASH Climate Resilience, developed by GWP and UNICEF, to guide implementors in climate-proofing WASH services, will be a valuable tool in UNICEF’s new drive to bring water security solutions to 450 million children and their families , living in areas of high or extremely high-water vulnerability, by 2025.
World Water Day 2023 is accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis. March 22 will celebrate the 31st World Water Day. The 36th China Water Week, from March 22 to 28, 2023, is working on 'Water Control by Law and Common Protection for the Mother River'.
On 23-25 October, more than 500 representatives of Ministries from about 80 countries responsible for water, environment, foreign affairs and development cooperation – from both Parties and non-Parties to the Water Convention – together with representatives of joint bodies, international and non-governmental organizations, international financial Institutions and academia from all regions of the world meet in Ljubljana, Slovenia for MOP10.
The Conference of the Parties, at its sixteenth session held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (2-13 December 2024), invited GWP to serve as a technical partner in the continuous development of existing Drought Monitoring and Early Warning Systems.
