In 2020, Global Water Partnership (GWP) in collaboration with The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) together with UNEP-DHI Centre and Cap-Net, operates the SDG 6 IWRM Support Program, to support 60 countries in implementing the survey.
Water managers often claim that more funding needs to be invested in water security. While that is undoubtedly true, it is also true that water managers could do better in terms of spending the budgets that are already allocated to them.
Between April and October 2023, UN Member States will take stock and report their progress on implementing the integrated water resources management (IWRM) target under the SDGs.
