This year’s Regional Steering Committee will focus on adoption of the minutes of the 17th Regional Steering Committee held in Bujumbura, Burundi, the status of GWP Secretariat, enhancing networking and partnership: mechanisms to strengthen Country Water Partnerships (CWP) and review and discussions on the Global strategy (2014-2020).
Delegates will also be presented GWP Eastern Africa’s strategies and work programs for the year 2014-2016 as well as draft annual work plans and budgets for 2014.
Also featuring on agenda include presentations on achievements and challenges since the establishment of Country Water Partnerships mainly Burundi, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan and Uganda.
All delegates from the last years Regional Steering Committee recommitted themselves to work towards the realization of the GWP vision—a water secure world.
