In 1999, the UN General Assembly designated 12 August as International Youth Day. For just over two decades, this day has focused on raising awareness around the challenges the world’s young men and women face and celebrates their role as influential partners of change.
This year’s International Youth Day theme is, “Youth Engagement for Global Action.”
