Zero Drop Heraklion, the result of a long-standing collaboration between GWP-Med and Coca-Cola, funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation, features as a best-practice solution for promoting agricultural water management practices in the Mediterranean, in a new TV documentary.
The TonFuturTonClimat project is a response of GWP-WA and the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) to the November 2016 Call for Proposals of the International Climate Cooperation Program (PCCI) funded by the Government of Quebec and aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapting to the impacts of climate change (CC) in the most vulnerable French-speaking countries.
Within the framework of Water Climate Development Program- Gender (WACDEP-G), GWP-CAf organized the first WACDEP-G capacity building workshop in the region on October 14th 2020 in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The Global Water Partnership invites interested individuals to submit their applications to be an AIP Reference Group expert member. A total of ten experts will be selected for this reference group. Five positions will be reserved for experts from the African regions (Central, Eastern, North, Southern and West).
The NEPAD Agency and Global Water Partnership (GWP) on 26 November 2018 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the implementation of priority continental water infrastructure projects within the framework of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) and the Africa Investment Programme (AIP).
The Water ChangeMaker Awards closed its submissions on 14 June – with 350+ individuals and groups from over 80 countries having submitted their personal experiences on how they have influenced water decisions that build climate resilience. Since that time, all submitted projects have undergone eligibility and verification screening.
The Asia Region Online Workshop Supporting the Monitoring and Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 6.5.2 on Transboundary Water Cooperation is held virtually on 17 September. GWP is one of the partners behind the workshop.
Building on the success of the events held in 2013 and 2016, Hungary will host the third Budapest Water Summit in 2019. Under the patronage of H.E. Mr János Áder, President of Hungary, the conference will take place on 15-17 October 2019. The conference is organised by the Government of Hungary.
