The Central Africa Republic Country Water Partnership (CWP Central Africa Republic) has designated a new Chair for its Technical and Scientific Committee.

Any experience on water management is worth to be shared, says Shamila Nair-Bedouelle, Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences of UNESCO: “Water managers need to understand the different journeys that have been taken, so that we collectively can promote sustainable water management.”

As part of the ongoing initiative between GWP and the World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW) to make the voices of youth heard on water, we asked for stories on how the current COVID-19 outbreak has changed people's daily routines in different parts of the world. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) together with a broad range of partners - including GWP - launched the Global Framework for Action to Cope with Water Scarcity in Agriculture in the Context of Climate Change during the Agriculture Action Day of COP22 in Marrakech, Morocco. In April the Partners meet in Rome.

Water is a precious gift from God, which is vital for life of the human race and the continuous existence of the functions in the ecosystem. Therefore, water shall be a public asset that shall be managed through participative approaches.
