This two-day event will bring together various water stakeholders who are contributing to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal number 6; entrepreneurs, investors, large and small companies, non-governmental organisations, UN agencies, incubators, etc.

The case study was developed as part of the global Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) that was formally introduced in 2014 in the Southeast Asia Region, and finalized by the second quarter of 2018.

As one of the GWP-SEA country members, Malaysia Water Partnership has been committed to supporting the implementation of WACDEP. Several activities were carried out to support the country’s commitment to addressing the issues of floods and climate change resilience. One of the activities during the first phase of WACDEP is ‘Community flood-proofing and adaptation for climate resilience’ that was done through the demonstration project. Eau Vive International (NGO) represented by Kristel MALEGUE, Advocacy and International Partnership Director and the Coalition, and Ilias SAWADOGO, Assistant Youth Programme Officer, made a working visit to Global Water Partnership West Africa on 22 February 2018.

On May 23-25, 2017, the fourth south-south interregional water cooperation gathered GWP China, Central Asia and Caucasus, South Asia and South East Asia, four Regional Water Partnerships, in Pokhara, Nepal.
