Mandaue City 24 November 2018 -- Philippines successfully organized a session during the 4th International River Summit “raising awareness, commitment and resources for the rivers”. The aim of the session was to articulate various experiences from experts on how IWRM complement river management initiatives. Keywords: IWRM, Philippines, International River Summit

The activities under this focus area are aimed at generating and sharing knowledge from experiences in implementing selected interventions in the region. The experiences will be generated from a critical analysis of the work that has been implemented through the implementation of the regional water programme.

Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe releases today a new publication Guidelines on Natural Small Water Retention Measures.

Water Integrity Capacity Building for the Middle East and North Africa region was a four year (2014-2017) regional programme implemented by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) in collaboration with GWP-Med and other regional and local partners.

The Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) Regional Council announced the appointment of Dr Khondaker Azharul Haq as the GWP SAS Chairperson in effective of 1 January 2019.

The OmiDelta project implementing partners signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the project on 22 February 2019 in the conference room of CWP Benin. The Benin Country Water Partnership (PNE-Benin), the Association to fight against Racism, Ethnocentrism and Regionalism (Association de Lutte Contre le Racisme, l'Ethnocentrisme et le Régionalisme -ALCRER) and the Benin Social Watch Network (SW-B) promote citizen monitoring at the national level and in the municipalities.

Activities under this focus area aim to promote gender mainstreaming in the water sector as part of implementing priority intervention P3.1 in the RSAP IV on IWRM in line with the SADC Gender Policy and the SADC Protocol on Gender and Development.

On October 15 and 16, 2015, the “Workshop on Water Resources Regulation in Heihe River Basin and Sustainable Economic and Social Development” was organized by GWP China Yellow River in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

The CWP-Benin with the experiences of its network in IWRM promotion and strong involvement in the implementation of the "Water for Growth and Poverty reduction in the Mekrou Transboundary Basin" or Mekrou Project and the achievements made, is supporting GIZ in the Phase 2 of the Water, Hygiene and Sanitation Programme (ProSEHA) to achieve the results of component B of the programme.
