Some members of the Francophone youth for water initiative took part in the 14^th edition of the international youth work camp from 23 July to 3 August 2015 in Burkina Faso. The theme of the camp was "youth leadership and responsible citizenship." In this context, the WYPW- Africa was represented by 15 young participants from neighboring countries (Benin, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast and Togo) and a similar number of young people living in Burkina Faso with the support of the NGO Eau Vive.

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) under its Water, Climate and Development Programme (WACDEP) is developing a regional Caribbean Climate Resilience and Water Security Investment Programme and Financing Plan (CReWSIP). More information on the CReWSIP is available here.

The Gambia Country Water Partnership is a young partnership established in December 2011 and accredited in 2016. Among other things funding remains a major constraint. Inadequate and slow responses to proposals have delayed the implementation of planned programmes and the establishment of a more formal secretariat. But the Partnership continues to make efforts to mobilize resources to enable it carry out its activities

The first West African Sub Regional Water Integrity Capacity-Building Workshop for Ghana and Sierra Leone was held at the Mirage Royale Hotel, East Legon, Accra, Ghana from 08^th to 12^th April 2013 was successful as it trained 29 participants on water integrity.

The “1st Nexus Roundtable in the MENA and wider Mediterranean” will be held on 26-28 November 2018, in Beirut, Lebanon, at the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace, under the auspices of the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water and in partnership with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the United Nations Environment Programme / Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP MAP).

The ministers in charge of water of Benin, Burkina and Niger have signed on 22 December 2015 in Cotonou, Benin the framework agreement of cooperation for the promotion of political dialogue and sustainable development of the Mékrou basin, an affluent of the Niger River shared by the three countries.

The general objective of this Cooperation Framework Agreement is to promote political dialogue and sustainable development  of the three states in order to facilitate good governance  in the planning and the integrated and sustainable management of the natural resources of the Mekrou Transboundary sub-basin, taking into account socio-economic needs, food security, poverty reduction through the preservation, the conservation of ecosystems and the improvement of the living conditions of local communities.
