An institutional workshop to share experiences and simulate flood management on 21 August 2024 in Hèrèdougou was held on 24 and 25 June in Ziniaré in the Central Plateau Region to define actions to strengthen the technical capacities of national institutions in flood forecasting and management.

They explored how the design of Transboundary Water Agreements may affect their performance, and the ‘key ingredients’ that should be considered when creating such agreements.
The implementation of the activities of phase 2 of the TonFuturTonClimat project is continuing in Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo with funding from the Government of Quebec, GWP, Swiss Cooperation, Agence de l'Eau Picardie. The implementation is done in the countries through the CWPs in Burkina and Benin as well as the NGO YVE in Togo under the regional coordination of the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) and GWP-WA.
Angola and Namibia have officially launched the technical process for developing a Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA), Strategic Action Plan (SAP), and National Action Plans (NAP) for the Cuvelai and Kunene River Basins. The process is being undertaken under the "Enhanced Water Security and Community Resilience in the Adjacent Cuvelai and Kunene Transboundary River Basins (CUVKUN)" project, which is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the GEF Implementing Agency. The Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) is the Executing Agency, while the Cuvelai Commission (CUVECOM) and Kunene Permanent Joint Technical Committee (PJTC) are the focal custodians of the project implementation.
The launching and inception workshop of the Global Water Leadership (GWL) in a Changing Climate Programme in Nepal was held on 30 March 2022 in Katmandu.
Following the development of the WASSMO web-based system for monitoring and reporting progress in the water and sanitation sector in Africa, AMCOW/AUC in collaboration with the government of the Republic of Benin organized a three-day capacity building workshop from May 10th - 12th 2022 in Cotonou for WASSMO and Sanitation focal points in Central and West Africa.
