Technical Workshop: Gender Equality for Sustainable Development in Nexus Sectors in Albania

Albania has made significant improvements in advancing the normative framework for gender equality in recent years. An online Technical Workshop on Gender Equality (GE) and Sustainable Development in Nexus attempted to discuss how gender is addressed in Nexus sectors’ strategies and policies and bring some concrete best practices on how gender issues can be addressed in development programmes.

Webinar GWP-SEA IAP2 Indonesia

Water security is widely recognised as one of the major challenges to global economic and social development. Civil society involvement in water projects exists to supplement or complement government efforts in solving the water problems. However, many of the civil society’s efforts and contributions are still not captured or recognized as part of the country’s achievement. The present situation still shows that a dedicated effort to facilitate this potential alignment is still missing, and therefore consider as such a waste of resources.

The National River Care Community Competition - Indonesia

the GWP Indonesia's partner, Directorate General of Water Resources - Ministry of Public Works and Housing held an annual competition for the National River Care Community. The GWP Indonesia's chairman, Dr. Ir. Moch Amron, M.Sc, the chairman of the GWP Indonesia involved as one of the competition jurors.

GWP Zambia trains leaders of various sectors in gender integration in water & climate programmes in Mazabuka District

Government, private sector, civil society officials and traditional leaders in Zambia’s Mazabuka District can now more effectively outline roadmaps for gender activities for water and climate change programmes being implemented by their institutions and communities, following a training that the Global Water Partnership Zambia (GWP Zambia) conducted in the district.

GWP Presents Initiatives to Global Audience at World Water Week

The 2021 edition of World Water Week concluded on 27 August after a packed week of digital events. As in previous years, GWP was engaged in many sessions. One of the milestone announcements of the week was the UN-Water release of the SDG 6 Progress Reports, based on the 2020 Data Drive initiative, which GWP contributed to through the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme. The message from the launch was clear: we are not on track to meet the 2030 Agenda water goal so we need to urgently accelerate progress. Throughout the week, GWP presented several of its initiatives that aim to do just that.
