The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is holding an online series of climate dialogues from 23 November to 4 December, allowing Parties, observer States and other stakeholders to showcase progress and achievements on climate action in 2020.

Burkina Faso, with the financial and technical support of the Secretariat of the Water Convention, has organized a national workshop to inform stakeholders about the process of acceding to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes. GWP-WA provided technical and financial support for this national meeting.

(09/2022/ MED-PPG) The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean is seeking to hire a Senior Programme Officer. The successful candidate will be hired by the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), a civil non-profit society based in Greece, in its capacity as Host Institute for GWP-Med.

After a very successful first year, the course comes back to shed light on the whole concept of floodplain management once again.

Between April and October 2023, UN Member States will take stock and report their progress on implementing the integrated water resources management (IWRM) target under the SDGs. GWP, through the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme, will assist countries in facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations to assess and report on their progress on SDG indicator 6.5.1.

The Consortium, comprising the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) and the Global Water Partnership in West Africa (GWP-WA), organized from 02 to 04 August 2021 in Bobo-Dioulasso in Burkina Faso, the first of a series of eight (8) national training workshops on "Mainstreaming gender into the end-to-end early warning system for flood forecasting and integrated flood risk management in the Volta Basin”. This was followed by the holding of the Decision-makers' Day on Thursday, August 5, which focused on the same theme in Bobo Dioulasso.
