The Benin WACDEP-G team together with the CWP hold on 7 December 2021 a workshop to validate the report on the development of a shared vision on gender transformative approach in Benin. The Union for the Mediterranean and SIDA funded ‘MENA Water Matchmaker II' project which is implemented by GWP-Med, is applying innovative nature-based Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus solutions in 6 farms in Jordan and Palestine in order to improve water management and enhance climate resilience in some of the most water scarce areas in the world.
With over 54 shared river basins in Africa, 15 being in the SADC regions, cooperation in the management and development of transboundary water resources is key to economic growth and integration.
