A workshop “Gender dimensions in the sustainable management of natural resources through a Nexus approach in the Drina River Basin” was held online on June 23 2021. Approximately 80 stakeholders from Ministries, local NGOs, Nexus related institutions and agencies and academia from the Drina River Basin joined the workshop that focused on the interplay between sustainable management of natural resources and gender in the three countries of the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia.
The Government of Zanzibar has signed a bilateral agreement with the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for EURO 660,000 as part of support to the Zanzibar Water Investment Programme.

Building robust and innovative financing and funding mechanisms for water security through an IWRM approach will enable sustainable and more resilient management of our precious water resources. More financing needs to be made available for IWRM approaches and implementation from a variety of sources, including the public and private sectors.
