Dr Reba Paul joined during the inception of Global Water Partnership South Asia (GWP SAS) as a volunteer in 1998 and worked through 1999 and engaged in various capacities to formulate the South Asia Technical Advisory Committee (SASTAC). She worked twelve years (1998-2010) at GWP South Asia and then moved to Sydney, Australia and carried out her Doctoral Research on Energy Sensitive Urban Water Planning in Developing Countries. At present she is employed as a full-time Adjunct Research Fellow of Institute for Sustainable Futures.
The importance of advancing gender equality and mobilising gender transformative investments to ensure equal opportunities in tackling the impacts of climate change and water insecurity were some of the issues addressed at the AIP-WACDEP-G Tunisia pilot project launch workshop that took place in Beja, Tunisia.
Following the Adaptation Fund’s approval in June 2021 of the pre-concept note for the “Integrated Water Resources Management and Early Warning System for climate resilience in the Lake Chad Basin” project, the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), in collaboration with the GWP-Central Africa (GWP-CAf) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) organized a hybrid session of the first regional stakeholder consultation workshop in N’Djamena from February 21st – 22nd 2022.
