The constitution and by-laws of the Chad Country Water Partnership (GWP-Chad) were validated during the second general assembly of partners of the CWP, held in N’Djamena on October 11th, 2021.
The Water Resources Commission (WRC), in collaboration with the Country Water Partnership - Ghana (CWP-Ghana) has implemented the IWRM Action Plan for Ghana through review of the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Plans for the Pra and Tano Basins.
The Consultation Framework of Non-State Actors in the Water and Sanitation Sector (CANEA) has succeeded in its advocacy, which began in 2013 and was strengthened in 2020 and 2021, thanks to the technical and financial support of NIYEL, with the vote by the National Assembly of Law No. 2022-04, on public hygiene in the Republic of Benin. Voted on Thursday 20 January 2022, this law replaces the old hygiene code dating from 1987.
On March 24, 2022, the National University of Public Service in Budapest, Hungary, conferred an honorary doctorate on Jerome Delli Priscoli, GWP’s Technical Committee Chair from 2016 to 2022.
In 2020, Global Water Partnership (GWP) in collaboration with The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as the custodian agency, which coordinates reporting on SDG 6.5.1 indicator, together with UNEP-DHI Centre and Cap-Net, operates the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme, to support 60 countries in implementing the survey. For the PAN Asia region, the reports have successfully submitted and it is now the time to find out the lesson learned behind the process.
Caribbean WaterNet (Cap-Net UNDP), The Faculty of Food and Agriculture of The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine and the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), have worked together to produce two (2) Training Manuals intended to be of great value to the Caribbean region.

The Global Water Partnership Mediterranean GEF/UNDP/GWP-Med project 'Enabling transboundary cooperation and integrated water resources management in the extended Drin River Basin' (GEF Drin Project) is making efforts to raise public awareness about the natural wealth and cultural heritage of the Drin River Basin through the celebration of Drin Day 2021.
