GWP and the World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW) collaborate on a storytelling initiative to make the voices of youth heard on water. Reflecting on the current challenging times, with the world battling a health crisis, we asked youth how the COVID-19 outbreak has changed their daily routines in different parts of the world. The 14th UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP14) takes place 2-13 September at the India Expo Center and Mart, in New Delhi, India. GWP is represented and play an active role during the second week of the event.
Since inception in 2018, #TonFuturTonClimat has been implemented in Togo through the Youth Support Project for the Protection of the Environment, Water and Soil (PAJPEES) in Danyi-Apéyémé. To assess the activities already implemented and those in progress, a participatory evaluation was carried out in February.
The Burkina Faso Prime Minister represented by the Minister of Environment opened on 26 March 2019 a meeting on a national structured dialogue on Green Climate Funds organized by the National Designated Agency (NDA) under the office of the Prime Minister.
GWP held its annual Network Meeting on 25-26 June 2019. Following last year’s success, the meeting was held in a Follow the Sun format – a 29-hour long, online meeting of back-to-back sessions with all GWP regions. A big topic was the new GWP Strategy 2020-2025, which is due to be launched shortly – the meeting adopted the network's new strategic directions.

The Valuation of Ecosystem Services of Lake Ohrid, under the GEF Drin Project, was one of the key inputs informing the development of the Lake Ohrid Watershed Management Plan, now approved by the responsible authorities of Albania and North Macedonia.
The Support Package provides guidance and tools on how countries can design and facilitate multi-stakeholder processes aimed at monitoring and reporting of SDG indicator 6.5.1. The goal is to employ SDG 6.5 national monitoring and reporting frameworks to identify, through multi-stakeholder consultations, critical areas for attention that hinder progress on IWRM.
The islanders of Oinousses are provided with water saving equipment, to help them save 1.000.000 litres of water over one year, through the "Water is in our Hands" inititiave by GWP-Med and consumer goods company Reckitt, in collaboration with local authorities.
