From 29 to 31 October 2019, the city of Cotonou in Benin hosted the National Forum on Integrity in the Water and Sanitation Sector. "Integrity in the water and sanitation sector: pillar for the rights to water and sanitation" is the theme of the forum that aims to promote integrity in the water and sanitation sector in Benin in bringing it it the national agenda.
A second Public Consultation on the Sevan Basin Management Plan was held in Armenia from June 11 to 17 July, 2020. The consultation was organised on the programme of measures for Sevan and Hrazdan river basins districts. This is part of the River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) developed for Sevan and Hrazdan river basins within EUWI+.
Water governance must embrace gender equality and social inclusion if it is to truly contribute to poverty reduction as the world closes in on 2030, the world’s deadline for meeting the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals.
