GWP is collaborating with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat and other partners to create a vision and plausible water solutions of a desirable climate-resilient future in 2030 and beyond. The new initiative is called "Water Resilience Frontiers: Pathways for transformational Climate Resilient Water Security in 2030 and Beyond". The initiative is part of the UNFCCC Nairobi Work Programme’s Resilience Frontiers. The UNFCCC is convening a Resilience Lab for the duration of COP25. Dental fluorosis affects many people in the water-stressed Far North Region of Cameroon. The disease is mainly caused by excess fluoride in groundwater; a principal source of drinking water in the water stressed region. Affected people are stigmatized with women and girls, bearing the greater burden of the social stigma.
Since 2018, GWP-Cameroon has been working to change the misconceptions about this disease and pilot the research to reduce fluoride in the groundwater using a household filter adapted with charred cow bones.
This documentary tells the story of stigmatization through the eyes of affected victims and resonates a message of hope to the community, through GWP's work to improve groundwater quality.

The East Africa Water Summit (EAWATERS) is an annual multi-stakeholder water community engagement platform in East Africa. The 4th edition of the Summit is held 21-22 November in Nairobi, Kenya.

The theme is aligned with UN Women’s new multigenerational campaign, Generation Equality, which marks the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

The ad-hoc Steering Committee for the Nexus activities in the Drina River Basin under the SEE Nexus Project, supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), had its first online meeting on 15 October 2020. Representatives from the Ministries of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia relevant to the water, energy and environment sectors, were informed about and commented on the project’s objectives and planned activities in the basin.
On 25 September 2019, the regional dialogue on the theme "Accelerating progress in IWRM implementation to achieve water-related SDGs in West Africa: challenges, innovative approaches and the roles of partnerships" took place in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. The regional dialogue was organized by Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Sanitation of Burkina Faso, the ECOWAS Water Resources Management Centre and the West African Monetary and Economic Union (UEMOA)’s Commission in charge of Agriculture Water Resources and Environment.
