Strategic investments and strengthening of multi-stakeholder partnership are key to progressing towards water security, says Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA) Partners.
The 5th edition of the AfriAlliance Innovation Bridge Event takes place online on 29 October. It will address social innovation and its four dimensions gathering diverse stakeholders across all levels of government and the sectors of climate, water, environment, sustainability and innovation, inter alia.
Communications is key for development, something recognised by both GWP and Sida, Sweden’s International Development Cooperation Agency, and one of GWP’s founding Partners. On 26 April 2018, a successful meeting was held in Nouakchott in Mauritania between GWP-Med, the National Center for Water Resources in Mauritania (CNRE) and the Regional Centre of Agro-Hydro-Meteorology (AGRHYMET) leading to collaboration agreement on concrete steps to support CNRE on water resources monitoring and evaluation as well as hydro-climate services delivery.
