For the second part in our series of partners speaking about why their communities should submit their change journeys to the Water ChangeMaker Awards, we spoke with WaterAid’s Dr Virginia Newton-Lewis, Director of Policy and Advocacy at WaterAid Sweden, highlighting the role of the WASH community.
On 27 April, GWP organised a learning exchange on the topic, “IWRM Action Planning to Accelerate Progress on SDG 6”. The event had over 150 participants who shared their experiences on how to accelerate Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) to contribute to the achievement of the water-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The West Africa coordination of the WACDEP-G project with Benin team held on 23 December 2020 the inception meeting of the programme in Cotonou, Benin. This meeting is part of the AIP WACDEP-G. The goal of the Africa Water Investment Programme is to transform and improve the investment outlook for water security and sustainable sanitation for a prosperous, peaceful and equitable society.

GWP-WA has signed in February with IUCN Central and West Africa Regional Office an executing agreement for the implementation of activities included in the Regional Partnership on Water and Environment in Central and West Africa (PREE) project funded by SIDA.
