International Youth Day is celebrated annually on 12 August to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and to celebrate the potential of youth as active partners in the global society. The 2021 theme for the day is about transforming food systems.
“Partnership as a driving force for achieving water security” is the motto of the competition organized by the Global Water Partnership for Central Asia and Caucasus to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Global Water Partnership.
The members of the Steering Committee of the Regional Partnership Project on Water and Environment in Central and West Africa (PREE), met in Ouagadougou on June 10, 2020, for their 2nd session.
In accordance with the Head of State’s instructions during his September 12th, 2012 visit to the flood victims in the North and Far North regions of Cameroon to "strengthen metrological information at all levels and on a regular basis" and as part of the Water, Climate, Environment - Gender (WACDEP-G) program, GWP-Cameroon supported the National Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport (MINT) in improving the mechanisms for collecting and disseminating agrometeorological information during a workshop held in Yaoundé on November 27th, 2020 .
The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), a partner in the Integrating Water, Land and Ecosystems Management in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (IWEco) project, was subcontracted to execute activities under project component 3 (policy & legislation). The mandate was to implement the development of an Action Framework for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) for the CARICOM Region in collaboration with The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

The Volta Flood and Doright Management (VFDM) project held two national training workshops on Gender mainstreaming in End-to-End Early Warning System for flood forecasting and integrated flood risk management in the volta basin on 11 to 14 October 2021 in Wa and from 18 to 21 October 2021 in Tamale, Northern Ghana.
