12 November (Pretoria) – Global Water Partnership Southern Africa and the Development Bank of Southern Africa, (DBSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which seeks to promote investment and collaboration for water and sanitation projects in the Southern Africa region.

Liza Debevec joined the global GWP secretariat in May 2020 as Senior Gender & Water Specialist. In this article, Abdoul Rachid Yohann FOFANA, a student at the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique de la Jeunesse (ESUPJ), in his second year in the Civil Engineering program with a focus on Water Management and Control, describes his immersion experience at GWP-WA. The Asia Region Online Workshop Supporting the Monitoring and Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 6.5.2 on Transboundary Water Cooperation was successfully held virtually on 17 September 2020. GWP is one of the partners behind the workshop along with UN-ESCAP, UNESCO-IHP, and UNECE.
