The consortium implementing the Governance Component of the OmiDelta Programme organized on Friday 20 December 2019 a stakeholder information and awareness raising workshop on the charter for good governance in the water sector in Bohicon. The workshop brought together various stakeholders including communal stakeholders, NGOs, the Zou decentralized water service and the CWP partners.
In order to contribute to the reflections which should lead to the adoption of texts instituting the establishment and composition of Local Water Committees (LWCs):
Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA), in collaboration with the Permanent Secretariat of IWRM Plan (SP PANGIRE) of Niger and the Country Water Partnership of Niger (CWP-Niger), submitted to the Delegation of the European Union (DEU) in Niamey a request for financing of the Project "Water for growth and poverty reduction in the Mekrou sub-basin in Niger" (Mekrou Project 2 - Niger).
The scope and detailed outline of the Phase II Nexus Assessment for the Drin river basin, together with related activities, were presented and discussed in the 7th Drin Stakeholders Conference and 18th Drin Core Group Meeting held in Tirana, Albania on 29-30 January 2020. It follows up on the Phase I Nexus Assessment that was completed in 2019 as part of the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA) for the Drin river basin.
Cap-Net (Caribbean WaterNet) in collaboration with various Partners, will hold two (2) Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) 3-day training workshops in The Bahamas this month.

This national training of trainers workshop will be held in The Bahamas and put on by CapNet (Caribbean WaterNet) in collaboration with The University of the West Indies (UWI), Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C), the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) and The Bahamas Agricultural Health and Food Safety Authority (BAHFSA).
