Women, Water, Climate: Tackling the Challenges

GWP will be represented in a 2-day online conference on the topic of women, water and climate on 2-3 November. The event, which is free and open to everyone, is the culmination of a series of webinars led by Women for Water Partnership (WfWP), and its partners NetWwater (NWW) and Soroptimist International of the Southwest Pacific (SISWP). GWP is also one of the sponsors of the event.

GWP Network Meeting 2020

We are inviting all GWP CEE Partners to the Annual Network Meeting of GWP Partners 2020, which takes place online on 21-22 October, under the theme ‘Bringing the Change’. As part of the Network Meeting, the Partners have the opportunity to comment on the GWP in Action 2019 Annual Report and the GWP Annual Financial Report 2019.

Launch of the DRESS-EA Project

GWP Eastern Africa and four riparian countries – Djibouti, Kenya, Sudan, and Uganda – have received funding from the Adaptation Fund through the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) to implement the project on “Strengthening Drought Resilience for Smallholder Farmers and Pastoralists in the IGAD Region” - the DRESS-EA project. A formal launch of the project takes place online on 6 October.

The 2nd Asia-Pacific Water Forum Webinar

The Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) is organising a webinar series as part of the preparation for the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit (a date for the Summit is yet to be confirmed). Part 2 of the webinar series takes place on 7 October, featuring GWP Chair Howard Bamsey, who will speak on the topic of "Climate change, sustainable development and investors: more risks, more opportunities through better governance".
