GEF/UNDP/GWP-Med project 'Enabling transboundary cooperation and integrated water resources management in the extended Drin River Basin' (GEF Drin Project) is making efforts to raise public awareness about the natural wealth and cultural heritage of the Drin River Basin through the celebration of Drin Day 2019.
Hanoi, 4 December 2018 -- The main reason behind the Workshop on the Development of SDG IWRM Action Plan was to bring up the concept of "IWRM” - Integrated Water Resources Management - to the discussion table. GWPO supports this workshop as their mandate in support of the adoption and implementation of IWRM, in particular related to the Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG6).

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is supporting the Government of the Dominican Republic to implement a series of activities to inform the country’s submission for the second round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). These activities are part of the Climate Action Enhancement Package from the NDC Partnership.
Climate change is getting worse. Floods, droughts and rising sea levels are threatening sanitation systems – from toilets to septic tanks to treatment plants. It is against this backdrop that World Toilet Day is celebrated on 19 November, raising awareness of the 4.2 billion people living without access to safely managed sanitation. GWP celebrates the day by showcasing five Water ChangeMaker stories, providing hope that change is possible.
A virtual Launching event for our publication Empowering Women in Water Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa: A Comparative Study of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Palestine will be held on Monday, 15 March 2021, 13:00-15:00 CET.
With the technical support of the GWP-CAf, Experts, Directors and representatives of LCBC member states received training on IWRM for better implementation of the Lake Chad Basin Water Charter. The participants made recommendations to advance transboundary cooperation in the Lake Chad Basin.
The 16 members (including 9 women and 7 men) of the Sidwaya association of Ramitenga benefited from a training on Associative Life and the good keeping of administrative and accounting documents on 16, 17 and 18 December 2019.
