An online consultation on the Nexus in Albania held online on 14 December brought together more than 50 stakeholders and experts to discuss how to overcome barriers and coordinate actions to apply the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus approach, achieving cross-sectoral benefits for all. The meeting, which gathered representatives from key institutions from related sectors, was convened by GWP-Med and UNECE in the frame of the SEE Nexus project, which is supported by the Austrian Development Agency.
Our digital library is an online database of digital objects that can include text, still images, audio, video, digital documents, or other digital media formats. 12 August marks International Youth Day - the 2019 theme is “transforming education”, highlighting efforts to make education more relevant, equitable and inclusive for all youth. GWP launched its Youth Engagement Strategy in 2015 and has since then been actively pursuing various youth initiatives. Coinciding with International Youth Day, GWP's new Youth Engagement Specialist, Rianna Gonzales, takes up her new position in the GWP secretariat in Stockholm, Sweden. She describes the youth sector as “an explosion of energy and hope."

More than 40 Water and Climate Change National Experts Discuss Uganda’s Challenges in Accessing Climate Finance and Share Insights on Possible Solutions
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) in collaboration with the CIMA Research Foundation are conducting the process of capacity building, data collection and development of flood and drought risk maps in the Volta Basin.

GWP is contributing to the development of a 2-part webinar series on farmer-led irrigation (FLI), in partnership with the World Bank, the International Water Management Institute, and the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute. The first webinar is on 11 June, on the topic "Accelerating Inclusive FLI and Reaching Scale: Key Considerations".
