Technical Workshop on Project Preparation for Transformational Climate Resilience Water Project Concepts in Asia

The Global Water Partnership - in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, Climate Change Commission-Philippines, the Government of Palau, Asia-Pacific Water Forum, Japan International Cooperation Agency, UN Environment, and the Asia Pacific Adaptation Network - is organising, in consultation with the Green Climate Fund, a Technical Workshop on Project Preparation for Transformational Climate Resilience Water Project Concepts in Asia. The workshop is held 15-16 October at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

GWP celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) 2019 on 8 March by joining the global campaign #BalanceforBetter that reflects GWP’s commitment to gender equality. GWP also launched its Instagram account in the lead-up to the day to feature the voices of its global network – starting with the voices of those who speak for strengthening the role of women in water management.

GWP Steering Committee Members Share Water Stories

The GWP Steering Committee met at the global GWP secretariat in Stockholm, Sweden, on 11-13 June to discuss GWP's new strategy, governance reform, and knowledge and learning. The Committee acts as a Board of Directors and meets twice a year. While here, a few members shared stories on where they’ve seen water resources management work well for development.

Exitosa tese con base en el Toolbox de GWP

No dia 14 de dezembro foi defendida com sucesso a Tese de Doutorado intitulada "Gestão Integrada de Recursos Hídricos: Desenvolvendo Capacidades para a Construção de Visão Sistêmica sobre Gestão das Águas", de Gabriela Zamignan, junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Universidade de Brasília, orientada pelo Prof. Dr. Carlos Hiroo Saito.

Women, Water, Climate: Tackling the Challenges

GWP will be represented in a 2-day online conference on the topic of women, water and climate on 2-3 November. The event, which is free and open to everyone, is the culmination of a series of webinars led by Women for Water Partnership (WfWP), and its partners NetWwater (NWW) and Soroptimist International of the Southwest Pacific (SISWP). GWP is also one of the sponsors of the event.
