May 22-23, 2022, GWP China joined Tsinghua to complete a mock leaders' dialogue on Langcang-Mekong Cooperation(LMC). GWP China Fujian recommended Prof. David J. Devlaeminck (PhD) to coach undergraduates of Tsinghua University in their role play practice of powers' communication in the trans-boundary process.

The Climate Adaptation Summit (CAS) 2021 takes place online on 25-26 January. It is a global conference that promises to accelerate, innovate, and scale up the world’s efforts in adapting to the inevitable effects of climate change. In 2020, the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) began supporting the Government of the Dominican Republic (DR) to develop estimates of increased risk of flooding and landslides due to rainfall projections under climate change scenarios. This technical study was completed in the last quarter of 2020. It is one of a series of activities and outputs by GWP-C to inform the preparation of the country’s submission for the second round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and is part of the Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP) from the NDC Partnership.

GWP is partnering with Community of Women in Water (CWiW), a global network seeking to support women working to solve water issues.

The Consortium comprising the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), a specialized United Nations agency, the Volta Basin Authority (ABV) and the Global Water Partnership in West Africa (GWP-WA) are implementing the project entitled "Integration of flood and drought management and early warning for adaptation to climate change in the Volta Basin (VFDM)". The activities of the VFDM project, started in June 2019, are continuing and will end at the end of June 2023. The VFDM project is financed by the Adaptation Fund.

GWP-C has launched its first-ever Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY) and is accepting applications for the 2021 Cohort.
