The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the Volta Basin Authority (VBA) and Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP-WA) in collaboration with the CIMA Research Foundation are conducting the process of capacity building, data collection and development of flood and drought risk maps in the Volta Basin.
How should the entitlements and obligations associated with water be shared? On Thursday, 29 August 2019, at World Water Week in Stockholm, GWP releases a new Perspectives Paper on Sharing Water: The role of robust water-sharing arrangements in integrated water resources management.
GWP wants to learn from its Partners about their experience and engagement with the GWP network. Gender-specific information reported through a SDG 6.5.1 survey showed that gender-related aspects were among the least advanced among all aspects of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). On 16 September, the SDG IWRM Support Programme is organising an online event to share learning experiences from the survey and discuss what actions to take to improve gender mainstreaming.
