The Global Water Partnership Mediterranean is seeking to hire an external Consultant in the framework of the “Making Water Cooperation Happen in the Mediterranean’ project, for the activity : “Development & Draft selected sections of the “Nexus Assessment Report” related to slowing down depletion of the groundwater resource and rationalizing water use in the NWSAS basin”
Mindful of the SDG 6.5.1 reporting deadline of July 31st, GWP-CAf and its five CWPs have been fully engaged with country focal points to ensure that the ongoing monitoring and reporting process is conducted as per the UNEP guidelines.

More than one million small-scale farmers and pastoralists are set to benefit from the Strengthening Drought Resilience for Smallholder Farmers and Pastoralists in the IGAD Region Project (DRESS-EA) which was granted USD13,079,540 by the Adaptation Fund.
GWP held its annual Regional Days meeting on 1-4 June. The virtual event set a record in numbers, with over 120 GWP participants worldwide. While the main purpose is to have a shared understanding of GWP priorities and approaches, one of the highlights this year was the ‘virtual signing’ of a grant agreement between GWP and the Green Climate Fund (GCF) on readiness support to the Zambia National Adaptation Plan (NAP).
The new Wastewater Management Decision Support Tool (WEMDST), a pilot within the GEF Drin Project, will help local planners identify environmentally efficient and cost-efficient solutions.
