Crafting a Common Vision for Gender and Development

Up to 300 participants from more than 30 countries were gathered for the Gender, Water and Development Conference, 7-11 November in East London, South Africa. The conference is organised as a step towards an on-going journey to change equality, equity and development in the water sector.

Lao WP Review of Water Resource Strategy towards 2025

“Many activities had been done and showed progress in the past five years, but there are also still remaining a lot of challenges and many IWRM activities need to be done in the coming years. However, the new phase of strategy implementation has to be improved and aligned with national natural resources strategy and other water related sector plans as well as the 8th national socio-economic development plans of the government 2016-2020” said Mr. Thoumma Saluemxay, Deputy Director General of Department of Water Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The workshop on 26 May 2015 highlighted that The Lao National Water Resources Strategy and Action Plan 2011-2015 implementation and development is very crucial for water sector collaboration among stakeholders in the country since the last five years of review.

Press Release - Caribbean Water Experts to Meet in Miami

For the first time in its 24 year history, the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) will convene its Annual Conference and Exhibition in the mainland USA. It takes place at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Miami from the 24th to 28th August 2015. The theme is “Improving the Quality of Life with Water and Waste Management Solutions.

GWP China and its Partners Develop Water Salon Campaign

The series of themed water discussion under the “Water Salon” has been designed and prepared since October of last year.  The first activity was held on May 11, 2015 in Beijing. Water Salon is organized by GWP China and its three regional partners, including the World Resources Institute (WRI) China, the WWF China and the IUCN China.
