The investment potential in wastewater treatment and reuse in Middle East & North Africa (MENA) was discussed at a session organised by the Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med) during the recent World Water Week in Stockholm (27 August – 1 September 2017). This was part of the “MENA Focus” set of 4 sessions, led by key institutions in the Region.2017 was the 2nd year that a dedicated MENA Regional Focus was part of the World Water Weeks’ programme, alongside the Regional Focus Days for Africa, Asia and Latin America. In addition to the (co) organization of sessions, GWP-Med is coordinating the overall “MENA Focus”.

VIENNA, 29 October 2018 -- The winner of the ‘International Danube Art Master 2018’ competition is 17-year-old Ion Zatic of Moldova, announced Susanne Brandstetter, Chairperson of the Public Participation Expert Group of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR). The Public Participation Expert Group is responsible for promoting the Danube Art Master initiative in the Danube River Basin.

The Chair, Executive Secretary and Communication and Knowledge Management Officer of GWP-WA paid a support visit to the Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Niger from 09 to 14 April 2018. The purpose of the visit was to provide support to the Niger CWP for greater visibility among the authorities and strategic partners in the country in order to accompany it in carrying out its missions.
The delegation accompanied by the CWP had meetings with authorities and some strategic partners.
