GWP Cameroon: Women at Center of Raising Awareness and Changing Mentality on Dental Fluorosis

GWP Cameroon and its partners have trained women leaders in the Meri District, Northern Cameroon on community sensitization on fluorosis and its health impacts. The aim was to help change mentalities and break stereotypes related to dental fluorosis. An evaluation shows that the training and the activities of the women leaders has had a positive impact on the community's perception of the disease. The approach also created momentum for awareness activities in the entire Mayo Tsanaga River Basin.

SWA Climate Webinar Series 2021

Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) together with GWP, UNICEF and WaterAid are co-convening a 3-part webinar series to strengthen partners’ knowledge of and capacity to integrate water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and climate policies, plans, action, and financing. Danube Art Master 2019

Jointly organised by the Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), this competition encourages children to take a closer look at their local river, and to reflect on what the environment means to them.

GWP-C and HELP Consultation: Principles for Addressing Water-Related Disaster Risk Reduction during the COVID-19 Pandemic

As climate change and variability have increased the occurrence of disasters such as hurricanes, floods and droughts in the Caribbean region, governments have begun to give greater priority to disaster risk reduction (DRR) efforts. Many efforts are being made to build capacity, influence policies and develop strategies to better equip countries and their populations to become more resilient to water-related disasters.

Documenting processes at country and regional levels

The GWP-WA Executive Secretariat with the support of Stockholm is working since the beginning of December 2020 to document eleven (11) processes in West Africa including 3 in Benin, 3 in Ghana, 1 in Burkina Faso, 1 in Senegal and 3 at transboundary and cross border level.
