The Country Water Partnership (CWP) of Senegal is involved in the preparations of the 9th World Water Forum to be held in Dakar, Senegal in March 2021.
The media is invited to the Official Opening Ceremony of the workshop on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at the West Conference Room, Kirani James Athletic Stadium, Queen’s Park, St. George’s. The opening features remarks from Mr. Titus Antoine, Director of Economic and Technical Cooperation (Ag.), as well as officials from the organising agencies, Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).
SDG 6.2 states “to achieve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and end open defecation, paying special attention to the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations”. To contribute to that hygiene education is a necessity in any development programme in order to contribute as well to “end all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere” (SDG5.1).
