The Chair and members of the Steering Committee with the Executive Secretary met the Senior Minister in charge of the Environment, Water and Forestry, Oyé Guilavogui, on 06 July 2018, to discuss the concerns of the partnership.
GWP staff from around the world gather once a year to discuss current issues and plan for the future. This year's meeting takes place in Amman, Jordan, on 13-16 May. The main focus will be around the GWP Strategy 2020-2025.
The 3rd Consultation Workshop on enhancing the potential for Private Sector Participation in Water Infrastructure in Lebanon, with emphasis on the role of Banks was organised in Beirut on the 8th November 2017, as part of the National Policy Dialogue on Water Governance and Financing. The Workshop involved more than 25 targeted representatives of relevant public institutions, private banks, regional organisations and NGOs.
The Arab Water Week (AWW) is a high-profile international and regional event promoted to attract decision makers, water management practitioners, and professional organisations internationally and in the Arab region. The fifth edition of the event takes place 3-7 March in Jordan.
GWP-WA partners met in an Extraordinary Assembly of Partners on 17 October 2018 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso to allow the regional partnership to keep its legal status in the host country, Burkina Faso and to collect the contributions of partners for the ongoing development process of the new GWP 2020-2024 strategy.
The first International Forum on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) which gathered delegates from 47 countries ended with the Praia Commitments, which aim to promote sustainable water management as an engine for development, strengthening synergies across the Sustainable Development Agenda by 2030, and supporting farmers through improved access to finance, innovative technologies and the adoption of sustainable water management practices.
GWP is proud to announce the winners of the Global Competition for #YouthLed Projects. The winners will be presented today at COP22 in Marrakech at the side event “Youth for Water and Climate: From Commitments to Action”, organised by GWP and youth network partners.

Following a meeting on 12th January 2018, the Executive Board of the Guinea Country Water Partnership (CWP) was mandated to start the implementation of the Action Plan by organizing official visits in order to improve the visibility of the national network.
