The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated on 11 February - it is implemented by UNESCO and UN-Women, in collaboration with institutions and civil society partners. The day aligns with GWP's Gender Strategy, which addresses diversity and inclusion, social equity, and women's role in the integrated and sustainable management of water resources.
The GWP communication officers met in Beijing, China from 13 to 20 October 2018 for their traditional annual training and experience sharing meeting hosted by GWP China.
The first “International Workshop on Water and Agriculture in the Danube River Basin“ will take place from 6th to 7th November 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. The workshop is co-organised by the ICPDR, the Hungarian Ministry of Interior, the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture and the Danube Strategy Priority Area 4 and hosted by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.
On 22 February, the CWP leaders met to discuss preparations for the visit of the regional delegation from 25 February to 1 March. This visit is meant to support CWP Guinea in strengthening its visibility and together make efforts to set up initiatives to support the promotion of IWRM.
The INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "RATIONAL USE OF WATER RESOURCES - KEY FOR ACHIEVING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the State Committee of Water Resources took place from 5-6 November 2019 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. GWP's new Strategy 2020-2025 was also launched at the event.
