Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a global action network that aims to fulfil a vision of a water secure world through its network of Partner organisations.
The 7th Africa Water Week (AWW7) takes place in Libreville, Gabon, on 29 October to 2 November. The theme of the week is "Toward Achieving Water Security and Safely Managed Sanitation for Africa".

The GWP-WA Executive Secretariat Team met on 25 and 26 July 2018 at the premises of the Secretariat. The governments of Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger have committed to develop their national drought plans in the framework of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). The UNCCD adopted in Paris on 17 June 1994 is one of the three Rio Conventions adopted by 193 countries including Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger. Like other countries, the three (3) West African countries have committed to develop a national drought plan as part of the first phase of the UNCCD drought initiative.

CWP Burkina held the inception meeting of the pilot project #TonFuturTonClimat (TFTC) on 27 and 28 September 2018 in Sapone, about 40km from Ouagadougou. This workshop was to coach the young beneficiaries of the project.
