The annual GWP Network Meeting will be held on 11 October at 13.00 Central European Time (CET). It is a virtual meeting, to be broadcast on the GWP website www.gwp.org – with a special guest message from UN Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Jan Eliasson. The SADC-GiZ TWM activities on Stakeholder Engagement and Participation support the RSAP IV’s Programme 3.2 that falls under Programme 3: Gender Mainstreaming, Youth and Stakeholder Engagement.

The Slovak Drought Action Plan that includes preventive measures in a number of areas, specifically agriculture and forestry, urban landscape, water management, research and environmental education, is expected to be approved in Spring 2018.

The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on sustainable development in 2018 is held on 9-18 July at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA, under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. GWP will be represented at the event.

A set of structured and operational meetings took place on 3-4 May 2018, in Brussels, in the premises of the European Commission, with the aim to progress on the work of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Water Agenda and its Financial Strategy.

India Water Partnership (IWP) facilitated a Panel Discussion on ‘Role of Women and Youth in Water Security and inclusive growth’ on 14 October 2017 at Vigyan Bhavan during 5th India Water Week 2017 held New Delhi, India.

GWP recognises the importance of the private sector, a key stakeholder, in delivering the water-related development agenda. The integrated water resources management approach can add value to existing corporate stewardship initiatives and leverage the strengths and perspectives of the private sector to improve water management and governance.

The Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) is seeking to hire a Programme Officer based in Albania, to serve as a Dialogue Coordinator for the implementation of activities under the National and Transboundary Nexus Dialogue Processes in Albania and in the river basins of the Drin and Drina rivers.
