Since November 2018, the Country Water Partnership of Mali had initiated a consultation framework with the various stakeholders to address the dangers facing water resources and the lack of reliable results of the actions undertaken by the various structures involved in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the country.
World Water Day (WWD) is commemorated on 22 March every year. This year’s theme was “Leaving no one behind”. GWP and its Partners worldwide supported the theme by arranging a wide range of activities. Africa Climate Week 2020 was set to place on 20-24 April in Kampala, Uganda, however, in light of the Coronavirus crisis, the event has been postponed - a new date is yet to be announced. The theme remains “Partnering for transformation towards a low-carbon climate resilient and prosperous Africa: managing risks, seizing opportunities.”
The 24th Session of the Conference of Parties (COP24), hosted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat, is taking place in from the 2nd to the 14th December 2018, Katowice, Poland.
