The next generation of water and climate leaders can now join the programme to seize the opportunity to greatly expand on their expertise.

The event was held in Grenada from March 31st- April 2, 2025.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) together with the African Union Commission (AUC), Global Water Management (GWP) and Africa Water Investment Program Secretariat (AIP Sec) organised a training on Climate Resilient Water Projects, Investment and Integrated Water Resources Management in Dakar, Senegal on 7 and 8 July 2025.

Bence Bíró, GWP CEE intern and a youth delegate voiced his opinion and represented the region at the Climate Change Conference 2022.

Story of Change

Implemented by GWP-Med within the framework of the GEF UNEP/MAP MedProgramme, Phase II of the WEFE Nexus Assessment for Lebanon aims to enhance the country’s food security by assessing the options for the optimization of water allocation between competing uses.

The Governments of Eswatini, Mozambique and South Africa have officially endorsed and kick-started the implementation of a joint transboundary water project titled “UNDP-GEF Project: Strengthening Integrated Transboundary Management of the Incomati and Maputo River Basins.”
