World Water Day (WWD) is commemorated on 22 March every year. This year’s theme was “Leaving no one behind”. GWP and its Partners worldwide supported the theme by arranging a wide range of activities. Jointly organised by the Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) and the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR), this competition encourages children to take a closer look at their local river, and to reflect on what the environment means to them.
On April 8th, 2019 at the Korea Global Adaptation Week, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) launched the publication “Addressing Water in National Adaptation Plans - Water Supplement to the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines.”
The Global Water Partnership (GWP) will hold its "Follow the Sun" Network Meeting from June 25th - 26th, 2019. All 13 regions of the GWP which includes GWP-C, will participate in this online Meeting.
GWP-C will participate in a regional Project Preparation Workshop for Climate Resilient Water Projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. The regional workshop is scheduled for July 2nd - 4th, 2019 in the Latin American region.
GWP-C will be participating in the 6th Caribbean Water Operators’ Conference in St. Lucia which will be hosted by the Caribbean Water and Sewerage Association Inc. (CAWASA) in collaboration with the Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) of St. Lucia. The Conference will take place on June 26th – 28th, 2019.
GWP-C will participate in a national workshop in Jamaica on the Integrated Monitoring of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6. The workshop is scheduled to take place in July 2019.
GWP-C in collaboration with Caribbean WaterNet/CapNet UNDP will host a national capacity building workshop in St. Kitts on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the Caribbean – Drought Risk Management. The workshop is scheduled to take place from June 5th - 7th, 2019.

GWP-C in Partnership with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) will host a Project Development Workshop for the Elaboration of a Regional Water Sector Programme for Engagement with the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The regional workshop is scheduled for May 27th - 29th, 2019 in Grenada.
