CWP Burkina held the inception meeting of the pilot project #TonFuturTonClimat (TFTC) on 27 and 28 September 2018 in Sapone, about 40km from Ouagadougou. This workshop was to coach the young beneficiaries of the project.
A workshop was organized in Maroua, Cameroon, under the direction of the Regional Delegate of MINEE from 07 to 08 February 2018. The workshop aimed to proceed with the technical validation of the reports of studies on the vulnerability of WASH services, and on stakeholder analysis and assessment of their capacity building needs.
A new Operational Drought and Water Scarcity Monitoring System was created in Hungary to assist communities and farmers in making timely interventions.
The Organization for the development of the Senegal River (OMVS) organized in Conakry its second Days on 10 and 11 March 2019. The Executive Secretary of the CWP, Hafiziou BARRY took part in the celebrations.
The significance of engaging young people in the design and implementation of policies, plans and standards in Disaster Risk Reduction has been recognized by the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030. The Youth Forum at the Budapest Water Summit 2016 further showed that young people are unified across disciplines and scales to understand, innovate and adapt to the complex and dynamic nature of the global water system and climate change.
The meeting of the high-level political forum (HLPF) on sustainable development in 2019 under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, is held 9-18 July in New York, USA.
