The regional organisation Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean (GWP-Med) and the Energy and Water Agency (EWA) of Malta are organizing the Capacity Building Workshop ‘Communicating Water Trends & Innovation to Engage Locals and Tourists’, on 12 and 13 November 2019, hosted by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST).
The consortium implementing the Governance Component of the OmiDelta Programme organized on Friday 20 December 2019 a stakeholder information and awareness raising workshop on the charter for good governance in the water sector in Bohicon. The workshop brought together various stakeholders including communal stakeholders, NGOs, the Zou decentralized water service and the CWP partners.
The African Network of Basin Organizations (ANBO) is planning its 7th General Assembly (GA) from July 2-5, 2019 to be organized in Tunis (Tunisia). The General Assembly is an important occasion for exchange on ANBO's institutional life and provides a unique opportunity for members to evaluate progress made with regard to the objectives set for the network and identify possibilities for improvement.

On 25 March 2019, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) convened a Gender Mainstreaming in the Water Sector Project Preparation and Financing Clinic in Johannesburg, South Africa. The workshop, organised with support from the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa (GWPSA), brought together financiers, project developers/promoters, project implementers, gender focal points and gender machinery from the 16 SADC countries to discuss practical issues with regards to gender mainstreaming during project preparation and mobilising financing processes.
In March 2019, GWPEA continued with national consultation workshops with key stakeholders who will be involved in the implementation of the project titled “Strengthening Drought Resilience of Small Holder Farmers and Pastoralists in the IGAD region”- DRESS EA.
