Following the SADC Water Week Conference held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi from the 13-15 May, 2015, the Malawi National Youth Water Network (MNYWN) was formed on the 14^th of May, 2015. The setting up of the Network was in line with the SADC program for the African Minister’s Council on Water (AMCOW) Policy and Strategy on Mainstreaming Youth in the Water and Sanitation Sector through the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Water Aid and Malawi Water Partnership.

The Associated Programme on Flood Management (APFM) was jointly founded in 2001 by the World Meteorological Organization and the Global Water Partnership.

The ninth (9^th) session of the IWRM Experts Comity of the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) was held in Lomé, Togo on 19 and 20 February 2015. The meeting was called to exchange on the evolution of IWRM in the region and review the ECOWAS/WRCC work plan for 2015.

During a ceremony held at GWP / WA the Mékrou Project manager, Mr. Corneille AHOUANSOU who resigned handed over to the Executive Secretary of GWP West Africa, Mr DAM MOGBANTE and received regards from his former colleagues. The chair of the CWP Burkina and two of his colleagues, the Permanent Secretary of the CWP Niger, Mr Radji GARBA who will support the ES in the technical implementation of the Project to completion and GWP / WA staff were in attendance.

The Mauritius Youth Water Network (MYWN) is an association comprising youth from different organisations (government, NGOs and other civil society organisations).  The MYWN was set up in June 2015 following a National Youth Forum during the SADC Water Week. The forum brought together youth leaders to develop a national action plan for the implementation of the AMCOW Policy and Strategy on Mainstreaming Youth in the Water and Sanitation Sector and SADC Youth Strategy.

India Water Partnership (IWP) in association with the 2030 Water Resources Group and Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department launched Hindon River Yatra, a Travel Exhibition and a symposium on 27 June 2016.

The NCWR Programme is designed and implemented by GWP-Med. It started in Greece in 2008 and since then expanded in the Maltese Islands, Cyprus, and Italy.

A training workshop was held on effective regulation targeted at Catchment officers due to their future roles in the catchment regulations, facilitation of the development of Catchment Management Plans (CMPs) and production of Water Charters to be signed by riparian State Governments within the hydrological area. The training was held on 2^nd and 3^rd February 2016.

 

On July 6, 2016, the “Live Online Broadcast Launching the China Water Report” was kicked off at 15:00 of Beijing time (08:00 of British time).
