The partners of the IDMP WA Platform were gathered in Léo to finalize the training manual on drought risk management in the context of IWRM in West Africa.
This is a follow up action of the workshop on the review and adaptation to the Sahelian context of the training manual on drought risk reduction in an IWRM context, held from 26 to 29 July 2016 in Kaya, Burkina Faso
Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) has for many years, recognised the critical importance of creating avenues for young people to become involved in water governance and management ventures. Development challenges in the Caribbean will ultimately be inherited by the region’s youth. Young people are providers of solutions and have ideas and energy to act for sustainable development.
The Global Water Partnership-Nigeria team were in the National Assembly to pay an advocacy visit on the Senate Committee Chairman on Water Resources, Sen. Uballi Shittu and the House Committee Chairman on Water Resources, Hon. Aliyu Pategi. Due to the strategic importance of the meeting, Sen. Uballi Shittu sought the approval of the Senate Leader, Senator Ahmed Lawal to be part of the meeting. The advocacy visit is aimed at sensitizing the National Assembly on the activities of GWP and also plead for the accelerated passage of the National Water Resources Bill.

It will be held 28-30 November in Prayagraj, India.
