The Slovak National Consultation Dialogue on the Integrated Tisza River Basin Management Plan took place on 10 April 2018 at the Slovak Water Management Enterprise in Kosice, Slovakia.
GWP Central America holds a photography contest every year to engage partners, youth and other actors around water issues. The winner of the contest this year is Francisco Gil from Panama, who says that “youth is the main pillar for the conservation of our water resources”. The photograph was taken in Chiguiri Arriba in the province of Coclé.
Ozwater is the Australian Water Association’s international water conference and trade exhibition. This year it's held 7-9 May in Melbourne, with focus on "Transforming our World".
GWP has been working closely with the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) for over 20 years – the first connection goes back all the way to 1996, when GWP was established. Today, GWP Southern Africa is a recognized implementing agency of SADC, and also a strategic partner. GWP has supported SADC through the different phases of its regional IWRM plan, and currently one of the key activities is implementing a regional Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus Approach.
Integrated planning of water, food and energy sectors and promoting regional cooperation has been considered as a strategy to meet water, energy and food security targets, and to improve natural resource use efficiency in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
