GWP has created the SDG Preparedness Facility (SDG-PF) to deepen and streamline efforts at country level to implement the SDGs. Building on the country-level consultations from Stage 2, the 3-year projects use SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) to achieve SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

GWP's action network provides knowledge and builds capacity to improve water management at all levels: global, regional, national and local. GWP does not operate alone. Its networking approach provides a mechanism for coordinated action and adds value to the work of many other key development partners.

The meeting was held in Léo, Burkina Faso from 19 to 22 December 2017 to draw lessons from the implementation of the first phase (2015-2017) and plan for the second phase focus activities. Main regional partners (VBA, Ministry of Environment of Burkina, ECOWAS/WRCC, CILSS/AGRHYMET, IUCN, WASCAL, SOS Sahel International, WAEMU, 2IE, University of Ouaga 2, CWP Burkina Faso, CWP Mali and CWP Niger) gathered to make a participatory self-assessment of the implementation of the Integrated Drought Management Project in West Africa.

The Country Water Partnership of Cote d'Ivoire (PNECI), represented by its Executive Secretary, François Kouadio, took part in the workshop on "The impact of new regulations on agricultural and forestry enterprises: Implementation of the provisions of the water code (authorization of levy, fee ...).

Mandaue City 24 November 2018 -- Philippines successfully organized a session during the 4th International River Summit “raising awareness, commitment and resources for the rivers”. Final preparations are underway for Stockholm World Water Week 2016, which this year takes place 28 August – 2 September. Similar to previous years, GWP has a prominent role at the event, with representatives involved in a number of sessions. Here are some highlights.
